Financial Accountant (Part-time)
Due to maternity leave, we have a fixed-term vacancy (9-12 months):
You are a qualified Accountant with at least 2-3 years experience and a good
exam record looking for a new challenge.
Working with a book-keeper, you will be responsible for debtors and creditors
control, bank reconciliation, payroll and nominal ledgers as well as preparation
of the monthly accounts and budget performance analysis in a busy office. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Partner.
Your IT skills are excellent. You will be experienced in setting up and
maintaining complex spreadsheets. You are familiar with a modern accounts
system, ideally having used Sage or TAS. You are a team player with a strong work
ethic, a fast learner who is quick to adapt to new work situations. You
understand the need to get jobs done in a timely fashion, without being
prompted.
You will be involved in reviewing and improving the current financial systems in
the firm, with a view to increasing the range and timeliness of financial
reports. Opportunities to extend computerization and automation of systems will
be supported by the IT staff.
You will be responsible for operating the payroll and pension systems, ensuring
continued compliance with relevant regulations.
